Filipino FDWs will need documentation prepared before their home leave. Make sure that everything is prepared before their travel to avoid complications:
- E-Travel All Filipino nationals need to register their departure and arrival to the Philippines at least three (3) days before their travel. They may register at: https://etravel.gov.ph/
- Verified and Valid Contract Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) may need to present a valid and verified contract upon their exit from the Philippines as proof of their overseas employment. Make sure that the worker is holding the verified contract, and if the contract has expired, a renewal or extension attached to the verified contract to show continuous and present employment. If the worker has not changed employer since their last OEC application, no further verification of their contract is required.
- OEC OFWs who do not have previous DMW records will need to book an appointment with the nearest DMW office to register their overseas employment. However, those who have had an OEC with the same employer may request for an exemption through https://onlineservices.dmw.gov.ph/
- OWWA Membership is renewed every two years, regardless of the employer. To check their status, they may download the OWWA App on IOS or Google Play Store. They may also renew their membership at the MWO by scheduling an appointment at http://sched.mwosingapore.online/
MWO Singapore recommends a fifteen (15) day paid home leave, with roundtrip tickets paid for by the employer at each contract renewal.
