Verification of Documents for Seabased Employers

Accreditation – Principals Hiring Seabased Filipino Workers

Who are allowed to be Seabased Principals?

1. Ship Owner; or 

2. Ship/Vessel Manager

To be verified by MWO Singapore, the Principal must be registered under Singapore laws.

Documentary Requirements 

  1. Printed copy of the confirmed appointment;
  2. Manning Agreement between Principal and Philippine Licensed Manning Agency;
  3. Special Power of Attorney;
  4. ACRA Registration of Principal;
  5. Copy of valid IDs of all signatories;
  6. Authorization to sign for an behalf of the company;
  7. Vessel Registration;
  8. If Principal is Ship Manager, copy of Vessel Management Agreement or similar document assigning Principal to act for and behalf of the ship owner with regards to the vessel.

Documents submitted must be signed by the authorized personnel only and attested to by a local notary.

Verification Fees

  • SGD 60.00 for each document
    (Manning Agreement and Special Power of Attorney)


Procedures

  • To submit your application, request for appointment with MWO through http://sched.mwosingapore.online/ (Choose Accreditation - Foreign Recruitment Agencies/Land Based Employers/Seabased Employers);
  • On the date and time of appointment, bring the documentary requirements and submit to WINDOW 11;
  • If documents are substantially complete, the documents will be accepted, and if required, an interview will be scheduled with the authorized representative/signatory;
  • Upon advise, you may pick-up and pay for the processed documents;
  • The verified documents will need to be sent to your Philippine Licensed Manning Agency for further processing in the Philippines.
